Flag recoveryby 1-186 IN BN PAO on September 15, 2005 at 7:44 PMThe Delgado Community College flag is recovered. The flag was found by SGM Deck during an inspection of the DCC Campus. It was a filthy tangled mess all rolled into about a 10 inch ball still attached to the flagpole by its rope. SGM Deck had planned to have the flag properly disposed of but Sgt Richard Thibodo of Medford OR painstakingly untangled it, washed it and mounted it on a sheet of plywood for display. It reminds me of the Star Spangled Banner in a way. Most likely it will be presented to the college upon our departureUPDATE:16 SEPT 05 The missing top, red stripe was found today in a pile of debris some distance from the flagpole by Cpl Randy Nelson. It was cleaned and added to the display. | Related1-186 IN BN PAO
